Visiting Membership
Benefits of Visiting Membership How to Apply for a Visiting Membership
ACMA Patient Group now is open to non-ACMA patients by providing visiting membership as follows: (1) A non-ACMA patient membership is a visiting membership; (2) Currently there is no membership fee to apply for a visiting membership; (3) Visiting members should abide and accept all group policies listed in ACMA Patient Group.
Benefits of Visiting Membership
(1) Visiting members are permitted to receive and get access to all group messages; (2) Visiting members are permitted to join the group activities and discussions; (3) Visiting members are permitted to send messages to the entire group directly. ACMA will not censor or edit group messages. Everyone is solely responsible for the message he/she sends to the group; (4) Visiting members can obtain more information about Chinese Herbal Medicine (CHM) and related issues at the group; (5) Visiting members can obtain more information about diseases treated by CHM (including cancers, AIDS/HIV, etc.) at the group.
Because many members of this group have severe or life-threatening diseases (including cancers, AIDS/HIV, etc), this group is regulated by certain special policies in order to protect the group members. Due to this reason, the visiting membership application requires registration in order to ensure sincerity and truthfulness of all applicants and group members. The required registration information is as follows: (a) real name; (b) phone number; (c) address (P. O. Box is not acceptable); (d) employer and affiliation. Please provide above registration information in the "Comment to Owner" section in the steps of joining the group (see below). If above registration information is missing, the visiting membership application will be denied. If one provides false information, he/she will be removed from the group and may subject to legal responsibilities or criminal charges based on related laws. For the steps of joining the group, please go to How to Apply for a Visiting Membership.
All information provided in applying for a visiting membership will be kept confidential at ACMA, and will not be shared with any other party.
