As the first private university in US, Harvard University deserves credits for introducing Chinese Medicine to America. In 1978, the same year when China established diplomatic relationship with US, Harvard sent a medical delegation to China (this is probably the earliest medical delegation in Sino-US history). In 1979, Harvard sent the first American medical-exchange student to China since the establishment of P.R.China. These efforts and the Harvard 1990 and 1997 national surveys have helped the understanding and recognition of Chinese Medicine and other alternative medicines in America. ACMA respects Harvard's contributions to Chinese Medicine, and wishes Harvard to play greater roles in establishing the future medicine -- Unified Medicine.
