Hormone Therapy Causes Breast Cancer On December 14, 2006, the media reported that the hormone therapy has side effects that can cause breast cancer. Followings are some patients' comments on this news at http://blogs.usatoday.com/ondeadline/2006/12/report_steep_de.html
"I am glad there are findings like this being published. My mother did not have cancer. But, the basic problem with the medical field is this practice to give patients medicine that is being subsidized by the pharmacy companies so doctors can promote those products, whether or not the patient really needs it or even if it is dangerous. My father died because he was given a drug, under one name Pacerone, and I read online where there was many cases of people dying of this drug from organs shutting down from this drug. And, my dad died from his organs shutting down. So, I am glad to hear someone is telling the truth about drugs. "
In 1981, my mother passed away from breast cancer. She was 59 years old and had taken Diethylbestrol (DES) at the end of WWII to prevent a miscarriage. There was no evidence of cancer in her family medical history. I have questioned many medical doctors if there might have been a linkage to her breast cancer and the taking of DES. It's Not Just Breast Cancer
The popular Hormone Replacement Therapy drug, Premarin, has been linked to ovarian cancer. In a report published in the Journal of American Medical Association, doctors report that women who take estrogen-only hormone replacement therapy such as Premarin for a long period of time have a higher-than-average risk of developing ovarian cancer.
