Question:
Why my family doctors and specialists
(MDs) do not believe Chinese Herbal Medicine (CHM)?
There
are two factors affecting MD's comments on Chinese Medicine:
(1)
Qualification
It
takes 6 years of medical school study to obtain a Chinese Medicine doctor (CMD)
degree in order to be qualified to practice CHM. MDs have not received any
education or training in CHM. So MDs are not qualified to judge whether
CHM treatments work or not.
(2)
Conflict of Interest
Because
Chinese Medicine (CM) is the largest competitor of
allopathic Western Medicine (WM) in more than 100 countries, the relationship
between CM and WM is similar to the relationship between Republican and
Democratic. Patients are voters. Due to this reason, patients
usually cannot get objective opinions on ACMA treatments from MDs.
Currently, patients are in between the two competitive medicines.
This is a pity to patients because patients cannot get objective and
useful advices from CM competitors. Patients often got untrue and
counterproductive comments from MDs on CHM, which had finally harmed the
patients and even caused many unnecessary deaths. Hoping patients will not
become victims of medicine competition.
Similar to the relationship between other competitors, it's very hard to change
the relationship between CHM and allopathic medicine in short time. So at
this moment, patients should keep in mind that the final decision right in
medicine belongs to the patient.
Question:
Are the ACMA treatments
similar to the dietary supplement
herbs?
