Dermatomyositis is characterized by pruritic or eczematous inflammation of skin, tenderness, edema, rash, dermatitis, inflammation of muscles, fever, malaise, etc., which may jeopardize the patient's activities and life. Western Medicine does not know the etiology of the dermatomyositis. Therefore, Western Medicine does not have effective treatment for it. ACMA Treatment for Dermatomyositis On April 22, 2003, ACMA received a patient diagnosed as dermatomyositis for four years. The patient was under steroid treatments when she first visited ACMA. The steroid could not control the dermatomyositis, and her condition was deteriorating. By June 3, 2003, most of her dermatomyositis signs and symptoms were almost gone, and the blood test Creatine Kinase (CK) became normal. On July 8, 2003, she had stopped steroid completely. She felt very good after ACMA CHM treatments, and went back to routine work and daily activities. Related links:
