Congress Takes Actions to Protect Separation of Power, Constitution, and Human Rights

Since early 2009, Congress has taken following actions:

Both Houses Of Congress Urge State Secrets Reform

House Passes Bill Providing Redress For Those Erroneously Placed On Watch Lists

Legislation Would Create Special Committee To Investigate Torture, Wiretapping And Other Practices

2009 New Legislation -- Part 1

2009 New Legislation -- Part 2

Above actions have following functions:

Repair the serious damages to the separation of power, and prevent U.S. justice system from becoming a tool for the government, which has happened in the past eight years.

Defend the Constitution.  The separation of power is the cornerstone in U.S. Constitution, which is designed to prevent the government dictatorship.  The separation of power has been seriously damaged in the past eight years.

Protect human rights.  History tells that a government not respecting the universal human rights (including foes and enemy's human rights) will not respect its citizen's human rights either.  Now more than million law-abiding citizens are spied as terrorists.  This has seriously violated millions of law-abiding citizen's human rights.  Only a government respecting universal human rights will respect its citizen's human rights.  This legislation can help protect millions law abiding citizen's human rights.

Protect justice system.  Currently millions of law-abiding citizen's phones, emails, and activities are spied without court order.  If a law-abiding citizen can be spied and monitored simply by someone's suspect without court order, this will give the "someone" the chance to be above law, which could lead to dictatorship.  Therefore, to protect the justice system, any spying and surveillance should have evidence and court order.  It is very dangerous to spy and monitor a law-abiding citizen without evidence and court order.

Save taxpayer's money.  Currently, billions and trillions of taxpayer's money is wasted on spying on millions law-abiding citizens.  This legislation can stop these wastes and save billions and trillions of taxpayer's money.  Please go to Overspending Is A Forced Tax, Which Should Be Outlawed for more details on this issue.

Restore America's leading roles in human civilization in the world.  America used to be a leader of justice and human civilization.  Unfortunately, during the past eight years, such image has been seriously damaged.  In fighting terrorists, America cannot abandon the Constitution, American ideals, spirits, values, and dreams.  It's time to restore America's leading role in these areas again in the world.

Please call your senators and congressional representatives to support above important congressional actions and push the related bills to be passed asap.
